A number of friends and colleagues mentioned to me that coming back home after a trip overseas may be something of a let down.  Happily, this couldn't be any further from the truth. Flew back into Brisbane from Los Angeles less than 24 hours ago. And i've woken up at 2am, wide awake and starving - figured on doing some long overdue DA tidying.  I'm feeling inspired to get my art on, having been humbled by the beautiful art i saw while in Chicago particularly Monet, Lichtenstien, Lautrec, Seurat and Van Gogh.  Being able to see those paintings in person was incredible, it made my hair stand on end!  And again it made me rue how far away Australia is from everything else - we very rarely get to see such famous works.  Damn you geography!
